Moving on Thursday

We had a walk through on Monday morning. It went well. Found lot of minor things, like paint touch here, missing knobs, one of the cabinet doors wasn’t painted, fireplace would not stay lit and they forgot the air pipe for vent hood over the stove. We will have another one on Wednesday morning, though I don’t think the guy for fireplace will be there until after we leave. We believe we have everything in order (as long as we keep believing it). They added blinds on Monday. The blinds really add a nice touch for moving in and not worrying about window coverings. I went in and took pictures of the floors after they have been cleaned and wax. I added them to Final Touches. Check back soon, I will be adding two more 360 degree of the dinning room and living room. We also had them put in a ramp to the porch instead of a step. It looks really good.

We might be moving in soon. We hope it is in 5 days. Either way, we will be moving in on the 16th. We are so excited. I uploaded some pictures under Final Touches. Since they added the new locks to doors, we haven’t been able to go in and take more pictures. I hope I can take some on Monday morning.

What did they not do?

Ok, we have lights in place, sinks in place, toilets, shower doors, mirrors, kitchen appliances, electrical plates, sod, more landscaping, um, um... They have done a lot in the past two days. We are now counting down the days until the builder does his walk through. The contractor gave us a calendar list of what will happen each day up till the 12th of December. :) We cannot wait. There are a lot of photos under Interior Photos and Outdoor Photos; check them out. I am going out there to put on network plates, speaker plates, and blank plates. I am task with that this weekend. Monday they plan on fixing up the garden tub. Right now you can see the insulation and piping. Well, I am tired and going on to bed.

Counter Tops, Fence Post, and Some Stain

They finished staining the bookcase and painting the cabinet doors today. They also started putting down the counter top tiles in the kitchen. One more thing, the fence posts are in and have begun putting up the picket fence. Everything looks very nice. Check out Painting Photos, Interior Photos, and Outdoor Photos.
