Artist Bio
Ann Hamilton is a contemporary American artist best known for her installations, textile art, and sculptures, but is also known to work with video and video installation.  In 1999, Hamilton was the American representative to the Venice Biennale, where her work, a series of glass and textured walls, addressed the topics of slavery and oppression in American society.
