Project: Urban Field, PS1 Art Center Rice 2004 Professors: Lally/Hight With: Izabel Gass In this project the attempt was to create an open, unpredictable, “natural” topography through a series of regulated controls. The participant is immersed in a dense, continually rising and falling field of grass with little programmatic distinction. On close inspection, however, the system is more intentional, allowing a square grid and using a repeated unit and a metal-grate floor condition.
