Paint Refuse

These compositions were created out of the left over cans of paint I had accumulated while working on my other paintings. Rather than throw them out, I recombined different lids together to make new forms. I cut the bottom of the cans off using a metal saw, which gave me a nice metal ring to use around the paint can lids. Many of the cans were different sizes, which allowed for more interesting results when re-combining the cans. I also used the caps of some of the oil paints I had used up, as center pieces on the bigger tops of enamel paint cans.
