Compassionate Cuisine
Here we are with Lorri Bauston, founder of Animal Acres, a farmed animal sanctuary and compassionate living center in rural California. This afternoon we performed for Compassionate Cuisine, an Animal Acres fundraiser and World Vegetarian Day event in Long Beach. It was such an excellent and heartwarming time, filled with camaraderie and goodwill. Emmy-winning TV news journalist for CNN, Jane Velez-Mitchell, was a great, energetic emcee, and all the vendors -- vegan food and products -- were a joy. Even though we were kinda “in recovery” from spending four full-time days at L.A. County Fair just before, this event really had us rise to the occasion of a good cause, and lifted our spirits.
