July 17 is the last day to order your chicken lunch!

What a great addition it was to the Bull Picnic that Bill Cardone and crew will be cooking up lunch again. You can always pack your family picnic baskets but if you are traveling a distance or just want to leave lunch up to someone else, please place your orders today. Included in your lunch plate will be 1/2 a chicken, baked potato,

green salad, corn on the cob, a cookie and a soda or water all for just $12.00. It is half a chicken and a whole piece of corn so plan accordingly for your family.  Please send your checks to the “Bull Stone House Association” or call the Stone House with your credit card number to reserve your luncheon plates today! Don’t delay, a limited number of plates will be prepared. The last day we will take orders is July 17th.

Don't forget Genealogy Day is July 31st!

On the Friday before picnic, from 1 to 4 pm, come spend some time exploring your line with the Bull Family Genealogist. Big news! The Historic Interpretation Committee chairperson Linda Bull will also be on hand if you would like to bring any Bull family documents or photos you would like to have digitally scanned to be included in the Bull Family archives. We look forward to seeing you!

Bull Picnic is on August 1st, 2009!

This is the year we officially change to the first Saturday in August! This is the year that the annual date changes from the 3rd Saturday in August to the 1st Saturday in August. This is a big deal and we hope you have had this change on your calendar for the past two years since the big vote at Picnic 2007. Having the Reunion and Picnic earlier in the month allows for a greater number of attendees. The first Bull Picnic in 1868 was held on the first Wednesday in September. It has moved several times over the years, most recently in 1986,  to the 3rd Saturday in August.  Since school years are starting earlier these days, we voted to move it one more time to allow families with students make the day.
