The Massachusetts Music Therapy Alliance (MMTA) is a local state organization, formed in 1980 with the intent of allying members of the American Association for Music Therapy (AAMT) with those of the National Association for Music Therapy (NAMT). With the merger of these two organizations into the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), MMTA continues to share ideas, knowledge and support, while working towards promoting the field of music therapy in our state and region. MMTA is a unique organization and provides a resource for anyone with an interest in music therapy.
