St. Mary’s Parish (Episcopal)
The Parish of Saint Mary is a church of the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont of The Episcopal Church, a member of the world-wide Anglican Communion.
This parish has been in the Northfield community since 1856 when the original founders of the congregation bought a Congregational meeting house, built in 1843, and moved it reportedly by oxen from its location in Center Village to its present-day site.
The centrality of worship to the life of the parish, as well as the strong emphasis on music in the liturgy are outstanding characteristics of Saint Mary’s Parish.
Saint Mary’s considers itself to be a moderate Anglo-Catholic parish both in its liturgical style (we use incense on feast days and Sanctus bell every Sunday) and in its outlook, proclaiming Jesus Christ’s Gospel of liberation to all.
We welcome you to come and worship with us. Please join us at either 8:00 or 10:00 on most Sundays. Check theEventspage at this site for changes to our schedule. Feel free to call (485-8221) St. Mary’s and talk to Lee.
We look forward
to seeing you.
