One reason certain styles have remained with us many decades is they simply work.  Good design lasts, and continues to please for generations to come.

This duplex Townhouse design offers 2-story living for each apartment, and keeps views on 3 sides for each, while giving the appearance of a single-family Victorian.
The Greek design below marries a contemporary open floor plan with an exterior evoking
a timeless classic style.
Built for a couple of hunting & fishing enthusiasts, this Ranch achieves the look of a hunting lodge in the great room, with a view to the deer stand in the backyard forest and special rooms dedicated to the dogs and the hunting gear.
Below is a 3-bedroom floor plan realized in two distinct exterior styles:  First in a modified Cape Cod with dormers-
And below in a Prairie-School style
The farmhouse-style home below is designed for space efficiency, and offers three generous bedrooms and separate living and family rooms plus a den, in 2100 sq. ft.
This English Cottage-style home features a large garage with studio and workshop, connected to the main home by a large screen porch.
Below is a Craftsman-style home designed for a hilltop site with views in three directions.
This traditional Colonial design was worked out in detail by the homeowners, as often happens.  I refine the details and dimensions, and prepare construction plans.
Again designed for space efficiency, the Greek Revival below offers 4 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, and separate parlor and family rooms in 2300 sq. ft.  With a dining nook in the rear, the formal dining room could function as a den or home office.
The “starter” home below was designed in 4 versions, from 2 bedrooms to 5, with very compact floor plans suitable for a first home, or seniors, or low-income housing.
This unusual project creates an elegant space for family reunions, with a soaring timber-frame structure, an observation tower with spiral stair, kitchen serving a table for 20,
a loft gallery for family history displays, and large living room with fireplace and stone chimney soaring 20 feet high.  A covered porch faces the lily pond, and a patio looks over the valley view to the East.
With style cues from a French Chateau, the 3500 sf plan below offers 5 bedrooms with Master suite on the ground floor, 3-1/2 baths, a home office and a delightful screen room.
A 2-story foyer leads to this 2500 sf center-hall Colonial, which features 3 bedrooms and bonus room upstairs, with a great room, dining, and den on the main floor.
