So what can I say? It has been just short of 13 months since the last time I touched this site or wrote anything related to it. So what do I owe my diligence in updating this site to? As the title says above; Laziness, Distractions, and Life.
Laziness. Yep, I have been lazy and just didn’t get around to it. When I started to write this site over the winter months last off-season (silly season), I had great hopes of getting something valuable written to help the masses gather and keep some of the pearls of wisdom and information that those far more knowledgeable (and far faster) have shared with me as I have tried to learn more and understand more about what it takes to ride on the track.
I actually only originally intended to write 5-10 pages, but as I got going, I realized that there was FAR more that needed attention in order to the task at hand any justice. So, I started down that rabbit hole, and just kept finding more and more that needed to be covered. I am not sure that I can work it into my busy life, especially since I have 6 bikes in the garage in various stages of disassembly that I need to get prepped for the season. But, for the moment at least, I’d like to take some of my spare time here and there, and try to get some more of the content finished and posted for you.
Distractions. Weekends during my off season are owned by my daughters. 2 of them have competitive cheerleading competitions and 1 has competitive dance competitions. I spend most weekends in poorly lit high school gyms, trying to capture digital images of spinning and flying high school girls. Between that, editing and posting all the images for the teams, and working a new job, spare time really isn’t challenging me to find additional ways to spend my time. Hopefully, once the season gets going again, I may have some time to write while traveling to and from various tracks. Of course, my wife would love it if I actually cleaned up all the motorcycle stuff in the garage, got the 11 sets of plastics out of the basement, that need to be primed and painted. Note: expect to see me at the track in primer... I won’t even start on the list of things that need to be done around the house.
Life. New job, wife, kids, activities, church, family, and consulting... yep, gotta fit the mx and track stuff in there somewhere as well.
So, excuses aside, I need to get back to it and make some progress expanding and adding content to this site. Thanks for your patience in the past, I’ll still need more of it in the future. :)
