The camera evokes not only the subject but also the perspective from which the subject is seen. Through repetition, variations on a personality, or place can be expanded, focused, or fused with otherwise more nuanced and hidden traits of a moment or person. By exploring identity and what multiplicity does to depersonalize the sense of self, new layers become evident. In my work, I am not so much trying to create the surreal as I am trying to evoke the truth.
