Drawing Community: Looking to See

 (Morning Session 10:00 – 12:00) 


Description: Attendees collaboratively prepared and projected a series of drawings created in the previous Thinking Back, Looking Forward workshop from photos of activities from earlier in the 2006 ESP seminar.  The large drawings were projected on the walls in the CW Post Gallery, accompanying the ideal reflection and action statements.

Aims:		A.) Create Collaborative Drawings
		B.) Model an example of reflection and action (praxis)
		C.) Learn a new technique for portraiture
		D.) Explore new art media
		E.) Model partnership and collaboration 
		F.) Practice drawing techniques
		G.) Practice Mindfulness 

Materials:	Drawings from each day of ESP workshop for projection
		3 overhead Projectors				Large Black Pens
		Drawing paper for Looking to See exercise
	Prepared Polyester sheets			Materials for hanging	
Positive inquiry statements from previous workshop
	Lesson plan to distribute			Evaluation sheets
 
Methods:	A.) Mindfully practice breathing through Yoga Asanas	15 minutes
B.) Drawing Look to See Exercise				        40 minutes
C.) Project prepared polyester drawings in collaboraiton with Bonnie Nizamis’ Digital Storytelling Workshop and images from ESP summer seminar.  							                         55 minutes
D.) Prepare gallery walls of the CW Post Student Gallery with seamless paper, begin projection of Ideal inquiry statements.	
E.)  Final Reflections and Evaluations			         10 minutes
