Novice B Obedience

“Number 75, you qualified...”

Hearing the judge announce that after the long down exercise is always a relief -- especially if you’re dog & handler team number 75!
Especially if you have Beasil on the smart end of the leash as you’re lining up for the group exercises, and the Border Terrier (three dogs away) screeches about something that has all the dogs ‘go alert’. (Beasil was just sure that the B.T. was begging to be eaten.) But the moment passed and we pressed on for the final exercises.

Earlier, we had a few minor hiccups in our routine. Dad was trying to make sure that Beasil had plenty of exercise and practice before going into the ring -- and probably over-did it a bit. But the few point lost in the heeling patterns (“what’s that smell?” Whoa, dad, wait for ME!) didn’t distract from a very nice figure eight, stand for examination, and an explosive recall. [see photos on the Beasil In Action page]

So we earned our first leg towards our CD. And The Best Little Girl In The World had fun doing it.
Does it show?
