A team of medical professionals supported by Rotarian volunteers serving as a quartermaster, translator, records clerk, recovery aide, sterilizer and a photojournalist flew out of the United States for a humanitarian journey to Natal in northeastern Brazil. In that city near the Equator, the team performs free reconstructive cleft lip and cleft palate operations for children in need. The team is sponsored by Rotarians from San Jose, California and is hosted by eight local Brazilian Rotary Clubs.
