We’re closing our 4th year of Thought Out and it’s been very prosperous but requires much of our time. So between working our day jobs, the home business, the domestic duties, the pets, errands (you’re getting my drift), this is where I’ve been. Unfortunately Talmadge Designs has taken a far back seat. I do hope to start blogging here again this year but in the meantime you can subscribe to our personal family/friends blog over at Talmadge House. We give a nice healthy dose of our lives and my craftiness over there. Talmadge Designs is to be continued.

Wow! I’m so surprised and ecstatically happy at the number of visitors I received during my free giveaway. Thank you everyone for taking the time to check out my blog, I hope you enjoyed your visit and that you’ll return. I love comments and suggestions.

So onto our winner which is Alison from Arizona. She has her own blog This Wasn’t in The Plan. And you know what? She posts recipes! Wowzers, I love trying new recipes and as a matter of fact I’m making one I found on her site. It’s angel hair pasta with lemon and chicken . . . oh me oh my, it sounds like summer! Need a little of that in the New England right now.

Your probably wondering why my feature picture is a toaster . . . hehehe. Well our 10 year-old counter top toaster oven caught on fire this past weekend so we’re in the market for a new one. We’ve decided we’d replace it with a traditional 2-slice toaster. No need for the little counter top oven any longer. So with a bit of research we’ve decided to purchase a dualit. Wow this toaster is the bomb! It’s hand built in England, the company has been in business for 50 years and the toasters have a vintage look to them. Plus they’re built to last a lifetime . . . LOVE THEM! I had a dilemma with color but after much thought and my friends and family weighing in their opinions I’ve decided on the cream and steel color. It’s classically elegant, in my opinion anyways. Can’t wait to get her in the mail.

WOW . . . It’s almost unbelievable that my husband’s product made it into Business Week. What an amazing accomplishment! Business Weeks Small Biz Magazine did an article entitled “OUR FAVORITE THINGS Great Gifts from Small Companies”. His product Ped3 took front row seat with a full page spread. Can someone pinch us? While I’m not surprised that one of his products was featured it’s just the idea of “wow, this is us?” I always knew there was something special about this man of mine . . . hehehe. Who’d a thunk that he’d be found by some article hunter person, is that their title? Have no idear what they call em but I could hug em and give em a great big kiss!

For any of you who have no idea what the Ped3 from Thought Out is, go ahead and click on the blue Ped3 above and you can take a gander for yourself. It’s this great stand designed to hold the Apple iPhone, the great feature of this stand is that it rotates 360 degrees so you can view the iPod screen horizontally or vertically. All of Thought Out’s stands offer an attractive home for your electronic gadgets while cleaning up your desktop and keeps your cables off the floor for easy reattachment to your gadget. Plus his stands are NOT cheaply made as many products these days are and it’s fully made in the USA . . . WOW, that too is unheard of these days. He’s brilliant really and has many other things in the design phase. You must check out his website and get one of his stands that best suites your gadgets needs. You won’t be sorry you did. I have two on my desk and I love em. Did I mention that I just inherited the Apple Ipod touch? I haven’t even touched it yet but it sure looks like a cool product, must make time for her and I to become acquainted.

Great job Mike . . . keep up the awesome work. Mac World next year and we must get into Steve Job’s Keynote! K . . . on my way to Thought Out’s assembly room to pack customer orders then to off to make dinner. Good Night :-)

I made this from from a collection of vintage goodies, some from my stash and some from Jenni Bowlin’s findings. This is my take on one of Teresa McFayden’s projects. I love how it turned out but it took me bit to pull it all together. Sewing on paper is a favorite thing of mine so I just had to pull out the needle and thread and do some hand stitching. Hope this inspires you to pull out some old stuff you have laying around and make something special for a good friend of yours or heck just keep it for yourself. Some things are hard to let go of . . . hehehe.

So last night Mike and I ventured up to Winsted, CT so he could leave his signature for his bran baby new motorcycle. HE’S GETTING A MOTORCYLE???!!! A little nerve wrecking but must let them do what they enjoy.
