Etched Metal Leaves Leaf Lines has developed its etched leaves in a new media and new look. The traditional real etched leaves have been accurately reproduced and enlarged, and have been etched out of copper, brass, or stainless steel. The intricate patterns are preserved, and enlarged to make a dramatic and beautiful statement. The leaves are presented either framed, or loose for very easy mounting directly on a wall. The chardonnay and merlot grape leaves are unique: the original natural leaves are almost impossible to etch, and when we were finally able to achieve one, we can now “preserve” them in metal. Leaves presently available include aspen, “bloodgood” Japanese maple, sugar maple, white oak and the two grape leaves. They are available either etched all the way through, like our normal etched leaves, or partially etched, to show the complete leaf with the raised accented pattern of the veins. The copper and brass leaves have been lacquered to prevent tarnishing; the stainless steel leaves needed no extra treatment. These Hollowick® fuel-cell candles feature an aspen leaf etched into copper or stainless steel for a contemporary look whether lit or unlit. The overall dimensions are three inches in diameter, and  5 1/2 inches high. They use standard 36-hour disposable fuel cells.
