Gavin’s Finally Here!!!

Happy birthday Gavin. Well it may have taken two weeks and one day past his due date for this kid to get motivated enough to come out, but we’re just glad to finally meet him.

Gavin Royce Lommel was born at 4:09 this morning after about 2 hours and 15 minutes of pushing. He tipped the scales at 10 lbs. 8 oz. and was 22 1/2 inches long. The pictures don’t really show, but he does have dimples on both cheeks just like his daddy.

Momma did an amazing job giving natural birth at a wonderful birthing center here in Alaska . She didn’t even scream once. (Lot’s of really loud grunting and pushing though). She’s doing fine right now. Plenty tired and very sore but recovering well.
