Christmas at Kona Village

Mele Kalikimaka everyone. Bonnie and I just spent a few days at the Kona village resort for an annual christmas event.
Kona Village is an 82 acre top 500 exclusive resort here on the big island. It’s all done in a very traditional way. There’s no phones, t.v.’s, or internet. The hales are all done traditional style and divided into different villages such as Marquesan, Tahitian, Maori, Samoan, etc.
This year we stayed in a Samoan style hale right on the beach. There are a few modern touches of course. There’s a jacuzzi, huge shower and tub, and a small fridge.
Bonnie’s boss buys a whole bunch of hales out for all of his employees and includes tickets for an outdoor dinner function featuring all of the big islands top chefs. We spent pretty much the whole time eating and visiting with friends.
Hope everyone is doing fine and enjoying their Christmas season so far.
                                Love and Aloha,
                                        Alex and Bonnie
