The Center Grove Color Guard opened it’s competitive season Saturday evening at the IHSCGA Contest held at Anderson High School.  The guard captured first place in World Class.

The guard will travel to Dayton, OH next weekend for the WGI Dayton Power Regional.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE

Apr. 2-5 - WGI World Championships - University of Dayton

The CGCG captured 4th place at the WGI Dayton Power Regional with it’s production of Here Comes the Flood. 

The guard will travel to Chicago next weekend for a free day, followed by an appearance at Lake Park High School for a Midwest Color Guard Circuit Show.

After enjoying a free day in Chicago on Valentine’s Day, the guard gave their best performance thus far at Lake Park High School in a Midwest Color Guard Circuit Show.  The group placed 1st in the Scholastic World Class.

The guard will not perform this weekend, and will give it’s next performance at Northview High School on Feb. 28

The Center Grove Color Guard returned to IHSCGA competition on Saturday at Northview High School for their annual invitational.  The group placed 2nd among the 3 groups in World Class.

Next week, the group will perform in the IHSCGA State Prelims at Mooresville High School.  This contest is the qualifying round for the State Championships.

The Center Grove Color Guard performed in front of a small, but enthusiastic crowd at Mooresville High School for the IHSCGA State Prelims.  As a result of the guard’s performance, they have qualified for the State Championship Finals, which will be held at Center Grove High School on Mar. 21.

The Center Grove Color Guard competed this past weekend in the WGI Midwest Power Regional held at Ben Davis High School.  After prelims, the guard was in 5th place.

The guard gave a much improved performance in finals on Sunday, and managed to move up a position, finishing in a tie for 4th place.  The group will give it’s next performance in their home gym for the IHSCGA State Championships.  The guard performs at 8:10 PM

This weekend, the guard ended the IHSCGA season by placing 4th in the IHSCGA State Championships.  The group gave their finest performance of the season in front of a packed gym at CGHS.

The group will close their season by attending the WGI World Championships on April 2-4 in Dayton, OH.  Check www.wgi.org for ticket information.

Congratulations to the Center Grove Color Guard for closing out yet another successful season this past weekend.  The group placed 8th among the units in Scholastic World Class at the WGI World Championships.

The group performed in the preliminary competition on Friday morning, and earned a spot as a finalist by placing among the top 15 groups.  2009 marks the 26th consecutive year that Center Grove has been in finals!
