For 10 promising students,
the Chance of a Lifetime
Come to Orlando, win a job! That premise, hatched on the trip back from the SND spring board meeting, became the runaway hit of SND Orlando, hosted by the Sentinel. Ten students were selected to compete for internships at three major U.S. papers. Judges from the three papers narrowed it down to five (movie at left), and the SND audience chose the winners. The event was intense (and full of tricks), but these kids did themselves proud. Much to our delight, the conference opened doors for not one - but all ten (see where they landed, above).
