For sixteen years, as his Mom's mental and physical health deteriorated, Bob Tell personally experienced the caregiver burnout that he writes about in "Dementia Diary, A Caregiver's Journal." During this period, he would have welcomed the kind of caregiver support he provides in this book, support that was unavailable from a male author until now.
Bob is a writer who lives in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and was educated in Public Health and English at Columbia and Long Island Universities.
He nurtured his creative writing habit while working as a hospital administrator, health planning agency executive, health policy professor, and business owner.
Bob's award winning poetry, columns, articles, and creative non-fiction have appeared in many periodicals. His novel, "Thirsty Planet," was published in England and is available at on-line booksellers. For more information about the novel see his website "Bob Tell in Words."
Just like his parents before him, Bob and his wife, Elaine, snowbird each winter to Southeastern Florida. His adult children and his incredibly talented grandchildren live in the Seattle, San Francisco and Ann Arbor areas. This gives him lots of great places to visit.
Bob would love to hear from you with your candid reactions to "Dementia Diary, A caregiver's journal." Tell him your personal anecdote, invite him to speak to your group... whatever. You can reach him via the email address at the bottom of the page.
