The weather is totally different to that back home.  It have two rainy seasons, and boy does  it rain!  Our winter is your sumer, and our summer is your winter - getting up to temperatures in the last 30’s in Christmas.

People are really friendly and have a lot of time to talk.  Relationships and family are really important to people. People’s houses are always full with their friends and relatives staying, and they often looking after each other’s children. (For years!) ‘Personal space’ is not really needed. Old people are respected and valued.
