Camhandle
Camhandle
TM
A handheld stabilizing device for professionals
U.S. Patent Pending
Use the Camhandle to get more stable handheld shots. If you’ve ever held onto the open LCD panel to hold your camera steadier, then you understand the principle behind the Camhandle. The deceptively simple patent pending design is the secret of its success. It keeps your hands apart in three dimensions giving you leverage on the camera. The 14 ounce all aluminum camera platform is designed to keep your right hand in the normal position on the camera. No need for remote controls. Your left hand
is placed lower and off to the left of the camera centerline. This
allows your left elbow to be in close to your body for additional support. The left wrist is in a comfortable, natural position. With the viewfinder against your eye, you have three points of contact making for a very stable platform. A tripod plate allows the camera
to remain on the Camhandle while attached to a tripod. Your quick release mount connects to bottom of the adaptor. Now a you can move from tripod to handheld and back in seconds.
Comments from SLFUG* members per Ben Balser - ... the Camhandle was a HIT! ... they LOVED this little device! I had so many folks wanting to get their hands on it, they used it hand held and on a tripod. I had them zoom to the max across the room and do a slow pan on an object, and they were amazed at how much control they had on a tripod with it. Hand held, they were just blown away. Yep, they sure did love the design! The biggest comment was "Wow, it's so simple it's almost stupid nobody did this before! Look how much it helps!" They all immediately saw the advantage to the position of the wrist and hand on the grip. Biggest two problems they saw it solving was, the most popular, wrist strain using one hand with a DV camera. The second was getting more steady hand held shots. Third was the amazement at how much better you could control and smooth out pans and tilts on a tripod. * South Louisiana Final Cut Pro Users Group

"The "Camhandle" makes a tremendous difference when used with one of these inferior tripods. Shooting
stability was clearly improved when we used the
'Camhandle' in a handheld configuration - particularly
while walking with the camera."—Enza Sebastiani, documentary filmmaker
