CHA is almost here!

Hello everyone, just wanted to get another quick blog in before we head off to CHA! We are working our tails off, I can not believe ALL the NEW RELEASES we are presenting!! Holy Smokes, we are sure to please everyone!! Did you see the Birds? They are sure to make a statement on any layout!! By far though, the most talked about right now is the Build A Book Fixtures! You will now be able to walk into a scrapbook store, and build any word you want ~ right there ON THE SPOT!! Better yet, we are releasing Acrylic letters AND Chipboard letters! (Yes, chipboard!!) Great wedding gifts ( Couples last name) Odd children names, you can even spell foreign names! These are a hit and we are busy preparing them for the August shipment. Please, when you get your hands on one, send us a picture, we love to see all the different combinations you can create.

Have you been to our designers website lately? All of them are/were holding contests on their sites. Go check them out and win some COOL, FREE goodies from Clear Scraps! We have such a great talented team, I love to put them in the spotlight when I can ~ Good Job Girls!!

Just an update on the river, it is finally heading South. We are still not allowed to put boats on the water yet, but in a week or two we can go out. Our town by far was saved compared to others along the river. I saw this twice in my days now, I could not imagine going through it again, but we'll see.

Wish us luck as we prepare for CHA in Chicago, we will be leaving Wednesday next week. I hope to blog again before then, but I will (hopefully) try to blog during or immediately after the show. Can you believe it has been a month since I have blogged!

I guess I can. Let me see where I should start by explaining why. We own a little scrapbook store in our town, as well as Manufacture Clear Scraps, and we decided to move our store, and our warehouse, and our packaging department, into one location!! (Yes, we had stuff in 3 locations) That was a smart decision, right!! Well, in the middle of getting our new location ready, we got a pretty good size order from QVC in the United Kingdom, because of the length of shipping this on a boat, we had to stop everything and get this out! I have photos of us on the semi wrapping the order to pallets, this is a HUGE milestone for Janet and I, so wish on luck!! When I find out when this will air, I will be sure to blog about it and or post a link on our site about it!!
Well, after the first order went, the same day we shipped it out, we got a 2nd order from them!! WHEW!!! It takes almost 16 hours just to fold the boxes for the 1st order! So we start getting our new store ready, and while the paint is drying we drive over to the packaging dept and fold more boxes! Go back and paint, come back and fold and pack, you get the picture. We are still excited!! Well today, Tuesday the 24th, we reopened our store, at the new location!! Now tomorrow we are going to (hopefully) finish the warehouse and offices. We will get there! We are still amazed everyday how far Clear Scraps is taking us. We have been talking to so many people we never thought we ever would! We are about 2 days away from focusing on CHA! Yes CHA is just 3 weeks away and we of course are working triple time to get everything else done so we can start!
We released our Build a Book fixtures today, and the feedback has been tremendous! We are very excited to see the reactions at CHA. We also have a few new lines we are releasing, and of course, if you have not figured it out from the Build a Book racks, it has something to do with Chipboard!! You will have to wait to hear & see any more, for now.
We have also been dealing with the flood on the Mississippi River. Literally, sitting in Janet’s living room, you can see the river out her back yard. Quincy sits on a bluff though, there are restaurants and manufacturing companies their that are under water. I will leave you with some photos my Aunt Chris took the other day, about 2 days before it crested. The pictures are showing you 1st street (know as front street) (Our store is on 14th Street if that tells you how close we are) All the roads are blocked off so I you really don’t have too many places to drive to see it, so I just watch the news everynight. It really is something to see. West Quincy is about a 5 minute drive from our store, but with the water already over the returning bridge, I will NOT leave the city limits! They are watching the levee very close in West Quincy, as it broke their in 93.
Well, now that we are about a week away from being moved and set up again, I hope to start getting in a routine of blogging more and playing on websites. If you ever have an Acrylic project you have done, email it to us, it might just make it to our gallery! I love too see what people come up with. Ali Edward & Ben Franklin “Bonney Lake”

So many things have been going on here, I don't know where to start! CHA is right around the corner and we have been busy with that. www.tvweekly.com is getting ready to air another webisode for us, May 9th.

The BEST news I want to share is we heard the Ben Franklin Store in Bonney Lake, Washington just had Ali Edwards teach a class for an autism benefit on Sat, April 26th. We are fortunate enough to have them send us a picture of Ali with a Clear Scraps Album. I heard the class was a funfilled, eventful day! Too see more pictures on the class click here Ben Franklin. Please take a moment and check on our Projects. We have added a couple more classes for you, more to come soon. Our idea Gallery is full again since we had to take so many off for publication. I want to share with everyone our most exciting news here at Clear Scraps.
Pine Cone Press just released a book called "The Clear Book"

We are honored to have 5 albums published in it!! I told you we had a tremendous design team!!
Be sure to get your hands on a copy of the book as well, it has a ton of projects working with anything "Clear".

It will be available for sale on our website shortly as well.

New Website

We have been working hard at making our website very user friendly for consumer to store owner. Please check out our revisions we have been doing. We added a Project tab, this is where you can come as often as you'd like and print off class instruction sheets on many of our albums.

TVWeekly.com released our “webisode” and I hope this helps show how easy our product is to work with. Also, all the possibilities you can do are absolutley endless!! I hope you find your visit to our site very useful.

Check back later today to see the NEW class instruction sheet we will be offering. It is the album showed at the end of TVWeekly.com “webisode.”
Very easy to do, and beautiful when done!!
