We began studying the White-breasted Thrasher (Ramphocinclus brachyurus), an endangered bird that lives only on Martinique and St. Lucia, in 2006. Jen Mortensen (Villanova M.S. student) is the primary person in charge, helped in 2007 by Josh LaPergola (incoming Villanova M.S. student) and by Stephen Lesmond, a St. Lucian park warden. Our WBT field site is near Praslin, on St. Lucia’s east coast, in and around a new golf course development, Le Paradis.
