Louder Than Words present a spectacular production of The Sound of Music with leading performers from London’s West End. Featuring classic songs like My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev’ry Mountain and Sixteen Going on Seventeen along with the delightful Von Trapp family children, The Sound of Music is seen by many as the world’s most popular musical. With music by Richard Rogers and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein, the film starring Julie Andrews and the stage show are adored worldwide.
 
This outstanding production is presented by a company of over 40 performers and musicians direct from London. The show features talented young performer Zoe Rainey in the lead role of Maria and West End star Martin Crewes as Captain von Trapp. Zoe Rainey has taken lead roles in many recent UK productions including Guys and Dolls, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Woman in White, Gigi, Parade and Beauty and the Beast. Martin Crewes is a leading talent and has taken top roles in London’s West End and in his native Australia. Recent credits include Marius in Les Misérables, Claude in Hair, Joe Cable in South Pacific along with productions of Aspects of Love, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Pal Joey.
 
The Sound of Music is directed by leading international director, Andrew Macbean (West Side Story – Cyprus 2007, Sunset Boulevard, Aspects of Love). The spectacular staging joins first class theatre performance with the panoramic grandeur of the cinema to create an unmissable theatrical delight. The scenery for this production has been created by acclaimed designer Ben M Rogers who has previously designed international arena productions of West Side Story, Evita, Fame, Grease and Chicago as well as tours of Jesus Christ Superstar, Noise Ensemble and West End Rocks.
