After nearly 24 hours of travel time — a 14 1/2 flight from JFK to Dubai, two hours on the ground, and then another five hours flying to Dar es Salaam — the NABJ delegation has arrived in Tanzania. Tonight, we had an informal greeting with the UN field team here on the ground, then off to dinner with some of the young members of the staff. Monday morning, we have a full day in Dar. By the way, Tanzania is seven hours ahead of U.S. East Coast time, 10 hours ahead of U.S. West Coast time.
