NABJ President Bryan Monroe will lead the group, departing on the nine-day trip May 6 from New York to Tanzania. The other journalists in the delegation include: John Yearwood, NABJ Treasurer & World Editor, Miami Herald ; Djibril Diallo, United Nations; Bob Butler, Director of Diversity, CBS Radio & TV; Damaso Reyes, Reporter/Photographer, NY Amsterdam News; Ervin Dyer, Reporter, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette; Deborah Douglas, Deputy Features Director, Chicago Sun Times; Keith Hadley, Photographer, Atlanta Journal Constitution; Syandene Rhodes-Pitts, Reporter/Anchor, WMC-TV; Cherie Berkley, Asst. ME, WebMD Health; Stephanie Arnold, Writer, Philadelphia Inquirer.
Five European journalists will also meet up with us in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where we will be based.
