I am a pro cyclist with Team TIBCO Pro Cycling team (www.TeamTIBCO.com) and with the US National Team. I am a nerd and a jock- a rare combo of unadulterated dork who exercises their body into a fine tuned machine... before I was distracted with a cycling career- I had been an academic and earned my PhD from UC Santa Cruz in Evolutionary Biology. Click HERE for a video on Evolution... well, uh, sort of.
I am currently squandering 12 years of higher education by racing and training full time with my goal of the 2012 Olympic Games in London. I also dabble in software development in my spare time (have to feed the inner nerd!) and am perpetually engaging in some task or another.
2009 marks my seventh year racing a bike and my fourth year racing in the professional ranks. I still feel like a newbie- but I guess I am one of those seasoned veterans now!
This site is about my life- bicycling and otherwise- about training, racing, discipline or lack thereof, balancing (or trying) my life and professional careers, and it is- basically- about ME. A 32 year old girl who loves her bike! Welcome and I hope that you will be so kind as to sign my guest book so I know how you found me and why you came to stop on by!
