A Pig & a Duck & Crab Cookie, Too!
Sunday, July 13, 2008
Yesterday I got two presents & a pink crab cookie. Leslie said “Happy Birthday’ and then I got the “pig” and the “duck.” The pig grunts and the duck quacks. Or so she says. They just make different noises to me. Punch seemed to think that one of them was hers... Here is a picture of me before she came and took the pig. She doesn’t even know what to do with a toy, well... not a much as me. She

New Toys
Friday, July 4, 2008
SWMBO (my human) calls these new toys, “a couple of Bo-Bos.” These are mine. Punch is allowed to chew them. We have some bigger Bo-Bos, too. SWMBO says that they are Santa Bo-Bos.” They have little hats on. I like these two little ones the best because we just got them. Punch always wants the toy that I have in my mouth, so I take the one that she has. Then she wants that one. We keep swapping

Who’s the Handsome Dude?
Sunday, June 29, 2008
Me! Leslie - She Who Must Be Obeyed - put this picture of me on her blog (I never got to smell or see that bird dropping she talks about) without asking me if I wanted to use the picture first. In fact, she is copying me with her blog. I had this blog first. I know that I haven’t posted in a while but I’m a busy guy. I need help with this. I need a Personal Assistant. Isn’t it enough that I go

Mole Patrol
Friday July 13, 2007
See my muddy beard and my dirty nose in the pic? It’s my victory picture!

Sorry that I haven’t posted lately. When the weather got cooler, I forgot.
I had a really great day today! I’ve been tracking a certain mole for some time. I caught him a couple of times before but when I threw him on the ground, he disappeared! I’m not actually sure where he landed but I learned not to do that again.

A Peeb in Waiting
Tuesday, August 29, 2006
See that! That little head looks real innocent, doesn’t it? Hah! Punch is just waiting for me to get closer before she springs into action! I’m leaning into the curve so that I can cut it a little sharper and veer away from her. She’s a cunning little Peeb! She’s noisy, too! She comes charging and growling at me. People think that I’m the one making all the noise but it’s her!

A Thundering Herd
Sunday, August 27, 2006
Punch like to chase me. Of course, she can’t out run me but she cheats and tries to cut down the angles. Then she charges and bites me! It’s fun. See how close she is in the picture? Well, that’s because we were circling around a tree and I slowed down. Heh, she almost caught me. Later, she bit my tail as I turned around in one of the corners of the yard. PBGVs like Punch were bred to chase

Here I Come to Save the Day!
Monday, August 21, 2006
... Mako’s on the way! Punch was barking at something and I had to back her up! We’ve got the neighborhood covered. Nothing gets past us.
I ate a moth yesterday. I haven’t see many bees this year. For some reason, Leslie (SWMBO) cut all the branches that were within my reach off the hibiscus bushes. I used to be able to shake the lower branches of the bushes and bees would fly out of the

Fan Mail
Friday, August 18, 2006
I received a nice e-mail from Nadia and Sweet Pea the PBGVs that Leslie (She Who Must be Obeyed) painted in this portrait. I checked out their web site and they have really, really grown up! Nadia isn’t a puppy anymore! They said that their mom really likes the painting. Well, that’s great but I want her to know that I personally inspect every painting that leaves this place! I want some credit,

Bats!
Friday, August 4, 2006
At dusk, bats fly around here. There aren’t any in this picture but if Leslie had waited a little longer, there might have been. She was interested in the clouds - that’s what she says - but bats are more interesting. They fly around the housetops and the treetops. I can hear them squeaking when they fly. They fly weird. They chase bugs just like me. I saw the bugs! And I guess they eat them,

Heat Wave
Thursday, August 3, 2006
Today is supposed to be 98-100 degrees according to Leslie. I don’t really know what that means except it means HOT. You can’t do much running and hunting in this weather. I glad there are trees out there. I try to stay under them when I’m out there and it’s still hot! It’s dusty, too. I like making clouds of dust when I run. It’s really too hot to do much running so I save it for the important

Hunting a Big Buzzing Winged Thing with Stripes
Tuesday, August 1, 2006
Can you see it in the picture- right between my paws?
I could hear it buzzing at the base of one of the trees as soon as Punch and I ran out of the house. There are lots of these things flying around out there and I jump and snap at them. Punch just stares at me. She is just too slow to catch them. I bet if she thought it was a bread crumb hitting the floor, she’d be fast enough! This winged

Almost Got Another One
Sunday, July 23, 2006
Yeah! When we went out this afternoon, there was another “A mole! A mole!” screaming at Leslie! She was near that fenced in area where I like to pee because she doesn’t want me to. I was down at the other end of the yard, sniffing a fresh scent when I could hear that furry thing squeaking. It was loud. What an idiot. I came charging in and pounced on it! It popped right back in the ground before

Mako the “A Mole!” Killer
Thursday, July 20, 2006
That’s me (above) in action with my shark B-day present that Punch tries to steal. Try and catch me!
I tracked down a furry thing that Leslie (She Who Must be Obeyed) called “A mole! A mole!” Punch wasn’t with me at the time so it was all mine. I was trying to dig it out from under the drain spout. Leslie thought I was after a bug. Shows what she knows! Hah! I could smell something furry under

Dog Days of Summer
Monday, July 10, 2006
It’s really getting hot out there again. We got our outdoor running in early this morning. Punch was chasing me around the yard and she couldn’t catch me. Sometimes, I slow down and let her bite my fur but this morning I just kept running. I did tuckbuttruns all around the yard. We barked and wrestled in the shade. She is a lot of fun. Unless food is involved ... Then she can be a Bad Dog!

Birthday Boy!
Sunday, July 9, 2006
Today was my 4th birthday! Well, that’s what they said. We celebrated at Leslie’s mom’s house with Punch. I got a squeaky shark (how appropriate!) and tennis ball with a fake tail attached to it. You can see both toys in the picture. Good stuff. Punch stole my shark and took it in her crate. Leslie got her a new collar with leaves and lady bugs on it. I like to eat lady bugs. I chomped the

My Pal Punch
Sunday July 2, 2006
BTW, I caught the fly ... I smeared in on the window sill.
Today we went over to Leslie’s mom’s house. Punch the PBGV (just like the Amazing Al but smaller) spends half the week with me and the other with her. I like Punch. I like to play bitey-face with her. Punch was so excited to see me! I play it cool and smell the yard real good. Then I sneak up and smell her tail when

The Meaning of Life
Saturday, July 1, 2006
I like it when the mail comes. Sometimes, I’m standing on the end of the sofa and looking out the window and this man comes up on the porch. I really let him have it full blast! Leslie (She Who Must Be Obeyed) shouts, “That’s the mailman!” Then she puts me in my crate and opens the front door to get the mail. She won’t let me out until that door is closed. Yesterday, a moth flew out of the
