I have spent the better part of the day trying to decide what image I want to use as the basis for the painting that I’m going to donate to the ATCA Auction. Then, there will be the mad rush to get it finished in time! That’s the typical artist’s MO. The image above was the one that I donated to last year’s banquet. It is Mako @ 14 weeks. It was the top money-maker at the auction. I felt so honored to be able to help the club like that!
I was invited to donate another painting for this year’s auction. That does put some pressure on to pick another subject that will resonate with the members like that image did. I hope that this year’s donation will do just that! I’ll post the final painting when I get it finished - of course! I try to present the Airedale in a way that other pet portrait artists might not - a fresh perspective that still has that terrier panache.
