Welcome to Blue Horse Design!
Blue Horse came into existence with the creation of a single abstract painting of a wonderful horse named Raven.
Raven entered my life when he was twelve and I was thirty-eight. He was a beautiful dark bay thoroughbred gelding with great spirit, a sense of humor, an opinion on everything and a whole lot of attitude! (All this for the price of one dollar). Definitely very challenging for me, the first time horse owner, but luckily I had an extremely knowledgeable and very committed barn manager who repeatedly stepped in to save the day.
Over the years I was able to learn from Raven, and not just ‘horse stuff’ but also a lot about myself. Once I was willing to open my mind to him and pay attention he taught me many valuable and sometimes difficult lessons. For this I thank him and will always be grateful.
To celebrate his life and spirit, I have put together this line of cards. I hope that they speak to your heart the way they do to mine. My commitment is to donate a portion of each sale towards helping horses in need in the hope that a few horses needing a second chance just might be able to find a better life for themselves.
May we always honor and cherish our equine friends and teachers and hold a place for them in our hearts.

Help needed for Patriot!
This little guy REALLY needs our help!

Patriot was rescued along with his mother from a feedlot in Nevada towards the end of 2007. Unfortunately he ended up with strangles and has had a very difficult time making a full recovery. Tonight I received an email from Lynn Hummer at Pregnant Mare Rescue asking for our help. Patriot is a very sweet little guy with a wonderful disposition and really needs a chance for a full recovery but unfortunately has multiple problems. Besides his medical problems he also has dropped fetlocks and an umbilical hernia which will require surgery.
