Life

Life can be a funny thing. You move along and each day comes and goes, but those days turn into weeks, then months and of course years. Before you know it your life has taken on, well, a life of its own.
How did you get where you are at? How did you go from one place in life to another?
As you can guess I have been thinking a lot about my life lately. I realized that I have come to a place where I don’t want to be and it is effecting me in many ways.
So I guess the real question is how do you make life what you want it to be? How do you keep from getting in a rut and staying there?
Elden and I had a 5 hour conversation about that very thing today. While we are far from figuring it all out, I can say that this evening I am in a better place. I know a little more about what I do want and several things that I don’t want to do anymore.
Today has been a crossroads for me, a chance to really think about where I am at and the direction that I want to be heading. I don’t really know what the path ahead will be but I know that I will be finding a new highway to travel along. One that will have opportunities to be a lot more of who I really am and a lot less of who others think I am.
So fill up the gas tank, leave the map at home (OK maybe a GPS, still need some stability) and away we go.......

Around Town

Elden and I got a rare treat to have some time just the two of us today. We spent our time talking, eating, walking, and capturing a few photos along the way.
It is amazing how busy life can get. How easy the days, weeks, and months can slip by. How we can let the little things in life dominate our days and fill up all of our time. A few events have occurred lately that have helped to remind me that time is not something we can waste.
Enjoy and celebrate today!
So as we all begin this holiday weekend, I plan to do just that...enjoy each moment and celebrate the many blessings that I have.
