October 18, 2008 – The Bishop’s School recognized the 172nd birthday of its founder, Ellen Browning Scripps. Centennially sponsored by the First Republic Bank, the annual Ellen Browning Scripps Day event is organized by the School’s Alumni Leadership Association and held on the Saturday closest to Miss Scripps’ October 22 birthday. In honor of the 100th Anniversary of The Bishop’s School, the Alumni Association is pleased to announce the creation of its Alumni Awards Program. Notable honorees were recognized on EBS Day for their commitment to the School and the community.
