every click is a wish
 
A big part of great design is simply getting out of the way of the user, gracefully.  In online, every click (and in some cases every motion) is in fact a simple request; a wish.  It is the anticipation of, the understanding of, and the response to that wish that defines great interactive strategy and design.
 
Sounds simple.  And it is, and it isn’t.
 
Lots of products and applications are ultimately designed by committees in boardrooms.  It’s easy sometimes to get caught up in process and forget the simple mechanics of figuring out what a user really wants, and then delivering something magic.
