Ride Info:
Tread lightly is a one day event to bring all the mountain bikers and potential mountain bikers in Hawaii together in a non-competitive event that will expose you to new routes, new friends, new skills, and new ideas about the sport of mountain biking.
Kualoa Ranch is open to us from 1pm-6pm, but there will be many other users out enjoying the ranch that we must show the utmost respect for.
There will be scheduled clinics taught all day for additional fees as well as informal clinics offered by advanced local riders and sponsored by local business’. (check back here as the day draws closer to learn more about these opportunities to improve on your riding)
There are approximately 20 miles of trails in the valley that you can explore and create as many fun loops as you wish. The race course will be marked so you may practice on it if pre-race training is your goal.
Ranch and Gate info:
Kualoa Ranch is amazing, if you have never ridden here, this is a huge privilege to experience one of the last virgin valleys in Hawaii! (a Huge thank you to the Morgan family for allowing us access to their amazing piece of Hawaiiana)
Please enter Kaaava gate only, not main visitor area. Drive past the ranch and look for the BIKEFACTORY banner about a 1/2 mile past main entrance.
**All riders must wear helmets.
**Sleeveless jerseys and aero bars are not allowed
