Iron Man - May 17

Seven years ago a traveling tournament was held using the courses in Burwell and Ord. For the second year in a row, Loup City is added to the schedule to make a three course Iron Man tournament. Each has a nine hole disc golf course that will be part of the disc golf tournament on Saturday, May 17.

Meet in Burwell for registration beginning at 9:00am, tee at 10:00am and play two rounds of the 9 holes. The second round of 18 holes will be held in Ord, about 20 miles away. The third round will be held in Loup City. The tournament is expected to end around 5:00 p.m.

This is a Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) C tier sanctioned event, but the non-member fees are waived because of approval by the Competition Endowment Program. Disc golfers can experience a sanctioned event without the expense. All disc golfers, regardless of skill level, are encouraged to attend.

McCook Challenge - May 3

The disc golf course at Kelly Park, in McCook, is the location of the PDGA sanctioned tournament on Saturday, May 3.

On Friday the 2, at 6:00pm, a free clinic is available and open to the public.

Competitors are expected to travel from across the state, Kansas and Colorado.

Nebraskans Invited To Worlds

Disc golfers from many parts of Nebraska have been invited to compete in the World’s Competition. Michigan has been chosen for both the pro and amateur tournaments. Most courses are near Kalamazoo or Battle Creek.

Still interested in playing but not on the list? Not all of the people invited will register, and that leaves vacancies. Beginning June 1, you can ask to be put on the waiting list for invitations.

Walk the Plank - April 19

One half of the Omaha-metro Back2Back B Tier series, Walk the Plank will be played at the Treasure Cove, a part of Iowa Western Community College, on Saturday, April 19.

The tournament course will have 27 holes, divisions will play 18 per round.

Interested in playing the course sooner? An non-sanctioned impromptu tournament is being held on April 5, for only $5.
