A view of the gorgeous Carolina mountains
We stopped  between Dillard and Highlands to check out the views.
Catstairs Falls is hard to capture--due to all of the surrounding trees.
Another view of Catstairs Falls
Whitewater Falls (in NC) is above Lower Whitewater (obviously) .. HA
Whitewater Falls  drops 411 feet.   The shadows made it impossible to get a good picture.
Betsy enjoyed RESTING--after the long hike to Lower Whitewater Falls.
Whitewater Falls is one of the largest cascades east of the Rockies.
Looking from Whitewater Falls BACK to Lake Jocassee  (toward Lower Whitewater Falls)
We drove north of Highlands and stopped at Bridal Veil Falls  (which we had seen in 2002).
We can no longer drive UNDER Bridal Veil Falls like we did in 2002.
There was  much more water coming over Bridal Veil Falls this time.

This page includes three waterfalls we also visited on November 9, 2006.   After visiting Lower Whitewater Falls,  we went back to  (Upper) Whitewater Falls (which we had visited back in 2002).  We also visited Bridal Veil Falls (also in 2002) and another new one to us,  Catstairs Falls.
