Joyful Reflections

We bushwhacked along this neat creek, in search of Gregg’s Two Falls.
This is the top part of Gregg’s Two Falls.
See Betsy standing on the top part of Gregg’s Two Falls
George now relaxes at the top of Gregg’s Two Falls.
Looking down into the water, from the top of Gregg’s Two Falls
George bushwhacked downstream to find the bottom part of the falls.
This is both parts of Gregg’s Two Falls.  It was truly two different waterfalls!
Our 2nd waterfall is across the canyon, and is 125 feet --the tallest in Alabama.
The name of this waterfall is Grace’s High Falls.  Gorgeous!
This is Hawks Glide Waterfall,  also found across the canyon from where we were.
Betsy stands at the overlook --looking for Hawks Glide Waterfall in the distance.
This is the Little River Waterfall.  The picture was from the overlook on Road 176.
George cannot believe that there is so much water coming over Little River Falls.
We are now closer (other side of the falls) --and captured this beautiful picture here.
Betsy stands at this overlook.  This waterfall is magnificent.
Don’t back up, George!!  (He is very close to the  edge!!!)
This IS the TOP..  We could feel the mist --since there was SO MUCH WATER!
Here’s another close-up picture of Little River Falls, one of our favorites.
Waterfalls in the Little River Canyon,  Alabama

George and Betsy visited four waterfalls in the Little River Canyon area near Fort Payne, Alabama,  on January 11, 2007.  We had seen two of these falls in September, 2006,  but there was MUCH more water coming over the falls this time. The entire canyon area is breath-taking along the scenic route.
