On January 12, 2007,  George and Betsy hiked to six waterfalls in the DeSoto State Park, near Fort Payne, Alabama.  We had seen some of these waterfalls  this past September--but this time,  there was WATER coming over all of the falls.  Amazing!!!  We also hiked along the West Fork of the Little River--and enjoyed that hike beside the rushing, white-water rapids.

A hike beside the West Fork of Little River
The water was rushing by  and beautiful to watch.
George got out on some rocks for this picture.
Here’s George out on that rock!!!
We used the tripod to get a picture of both of us.
It looks like we are IN the water--but we’re on rock.
This is Lower Lodge Falls.
Water from Lodge Falls comes down the canyon
Lodge Falls is near the top of the canyon.
We hiked about 30 min. to see Laurel Falls.
