Welcome to our home on Christmas morning.   It was a magical Christmas for us--one of true joy and peace.  Hope you enjoy seeing the pictures of us unwrapping our presents!   Santa was good to us this year--so I guess that means we were GOOD!!!!!???????
Christmas Morning 08
Look at all of the presents under that tree!!!! Wow!!!
George and Betsy invite you to share Christmas morning with us here on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee!
“Get the fire going--and let’s DIG in to those gifts.”
We always open our stockings first. Betsy received this “Let It Snow” ornament . Unfortunately, we didn’t have snow. (Boo Hoo)
Our ‘big’ gift was a Food Saver. That should help keep foods much fresher while in our freezer.
George reads about the Food Saver. We got some extra bags--so I’m sure George is ready to ‘test’ this new gadget.
Let’s take a break and have a cup of French Vanilla coffee. YUM!
Betsy opens a new ornament that we got while visiting Mt. Nebo, Arkansas. (That girl needs to get rid of the lopsided glasses. HA HA)
George opens another ornament from Arkansas, this one from Mt. Magazine. Our tree is full of wonderful memories of our travels.
This couple is having a wonderful morning. George has promised Betsy a delicious omelet!!!
“Oh My---just what I wanted. What a great surprise” she says!
Betsy is HAPPY (can you tell) since she got Mike Huckabee’s new book! (She really likes Huckabee!!)
George is a Civil War ‘buff’--and really admires Robert E. Lee. SO-he loves his new Civil War calendar.
As Betsy holds George down, she says, “Oh My... Just wait. The next gift is priceless.”
This gift from Mrs. Santa shows Santa with his LONG “to-do” list. George hooted when getting this one--since for some reason, Betsy always has a long list just for him!!!
George puts Santa with his ‘to-do’ list on the tree.
Betsy gets one of her favorite gifts, a beautiful bluebird house ornament--complete with two bluebirds!!!
Isn’t this little bluebird house ornament absolutely gorgeous??? WOW!
George opens another gift from Mrs. Santa. Last year, he got a new electric razor--so this year, he got the complete “Grooming Kit.” (Now--if he only just had some hair!!!! HA)
Another of Betsy’s beauties, a gorgeous goldfinch ornament
The beautiful goldfinch now sits in the tree. Doesn’t he look at home there?
Another of George’s favorite calendars is Dilbert... He has enjoyed reading Dilbert for many years!
Another cute bird ornament, a hummingbird.. Don’t you know that Betsy is VERY happy!!!! (Eventually, she will have her own “ Bird Christmas Tree.”)
The hummingbird also looks comfortable in the tree, doesn’t he?
“Wow--one of my all-time favorite birds, a male cardinal,” shouts Betsy!!
The cardinal shines forth his beautiful ‘Christmas’ color on our tree.
Well, we hope you have enjoyed sharing Christmas morning with us. (By the way, the omelets were WONDERFUL!!! Did you get a bite?)
Merry Christmas from two people in love!!!! (Now it’s time for you to leave and give us some privacy! Come back later for some turkey! Okay?)
