We are home! Home sweet Chicago!
Please note: We have added some more video! One from The Great Wall, The Summer Palace, and one of our bus driver singing us a Chinese Opera to make up for the flat tire in Beijing.
We made it home. We are so happy to be back. We left a part of our heart on the other side of the world. What a long journey it was. We were up for 4 a.m. China time (3 p.m. the day before Chicago time) and didn’t go to sleep until 8 p.m. Chicago time. So, that is 29 hours of being up. We were

Guangzhou - Day #5
We made it through our last full day in China. It is so bittersweet to be typing this. What an adventure it has been. Amazing. Truly amazing. We will miss so much here but we are also glad to be going home.
Today was a big day. We did the traditional red couch photo and then we went to the American Consulate in Guangzhou and got Aimee’s immigrant visa for her official immigration to the United States of American. Yipee! I posted some photos from the red couch photo shoot under China

Guangzhou - Day #4
Yesterday was a good day. Another day of waiting for the visa. We made the most of it and got some really great stuff for us and treasures we can hand down to Aimee when she is much older.
We started out at the elaborate buffet, went for a morning walk around the island, finished our shopping and then came back to the room and played with Aimee. We were goofing off with her and we put her pants on her head. She looked like Chef Boyardee! We love doing silly things with her. Then Aimee

Guangzhou - Day #3
Just look at that face! Aimee makes the funniest faces. She is so animated. She laughs all the time, well, that is until she is exhausted, then she cries. We haven’t gotten her on any schedule yet because once we travel west, her time clock will be way out of whack for days. We figure we can get her on a schedule once we are home.

So much has happened since we last blogged. Aimee had her first plane ride and she did beautifully. She slept the entire flight in her Daddy’s arms. She was a great traveller. She has such a sunny disposition. She just goes with the flow. She rarely gets upset and just loves to
