Fairport Convention 2nd August 2008 Fairport Convention have very kindly agreed to help us raise money for the Memorial Hall.  Tickets are selling fast, so get in there quick if you want the chance to see what surely must be the greatest folk-rock band in the world. Since forming in 1967, they have released over 40 albums and toured extensively throughout the world. Newsletter Wolverley Music Festival  28-06-2008  Well folks, we did it again for the third year running with the help of Mamma Mia! and Amanda Carr. Thanks to everyone who attended this year’s Wolverley Music Festival, which was another resounding success. We raised over £3000 for the refurbishment of the Memorial Hall. The aim is to raise enough money to turn the hall into a self sufficient, revenue-generating village resource, which will secure its future as a first-choice venue for events. Bert

Wolverley Carnival The Carnival took place on Saturday 5th July and, despite the gods threatening to ‘let us have it,’ we were spared a wash-out and, once again, the day was a success. Thanks to Spud, our sound man, for providing the p.a. on the day.
