Berkeley College Dean Student Development and Campus Life, New Jersey Edward Hughes, Ed.D., is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Frey of Pompton Plains to the position of Director, Student Development and Campus Life for the Middlesex Campus in Woodbridge.
“Kevin is a skilled, high-energy academic professional with a track record of successfully teaching, mentoring and motivating youth,” said Dean Hughes. “In his new role, Kevin will be working closely with students, faculty and staff in the creative design and implementation of student programs and activities.”
Mr. Frey has been employed in the sales and client relations fields. He also has teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor of Music at Bergen Community College, Warren County College and Rutgers University, and has worked as a Drum and Percussion Instructor at New Jersey Workshop for the Arts in Westfield, and as a Substitute Teacher for West Orange Board of Education. While in West Orange he taught all subjects to students ranging from grade K through 12, and worked extensively in the Special Education Department, helping children with numerous mental and physical challenges including learning disabilities, Down syndrome and autism.
Mr. Frey has a Master of Arts in Research and Jazz History from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance from The New School University in New York City.
