Not Just for Self-Help Anymore
Dear Beloved Readers,
so I was going through my e-mail--days late as seems to be the norm this year--and I learned that today is “National Laugh and Get Rich” day. Now, I don’t know who among you is educated on the classic success literature, but Napoleon Hill’s classic Think and Grow Rich has been a staple book, known by many in the human development business for some time. Could these be related?
One of the major concerns of labor economists is determining what factors/choices/endowments

Church Choir and Prostitutes
Dear Beloved Readers,
if any of you are left after a month without me writing, I thank you for the patience you’ve shown in sticking with me. My friend François made a blog entry responding to my questions about creativity and entrepreneurship. My response is still very much a rough draft, and I’m not ready to put it up here yet. Thinking about your Stuff
Dear Readers,
Do you own your stuff? Does your stuff own you? Do you relate to the objects in your life as tools? Pets? Servants?

In some cases, these are objects that I use to better my life. The racquet allows me to go to the gym and play a sport that will keep me healthy. However, this past week, I was given a healthy reminder that these things are

Something Different
Dear Beloved,
in honor of Thanksgiving, I’m going to list some people for/to whom I am thankful. Maybe you will find your name on here when you google yourself! I am sorting the (quite large) list by era of my life...
Obviously
Mom and Dad; way above all others. God has blessed me far, far beyond what I could ask with these two. My grandma Mollie Nyda, whose dating advice will never be repeated on this website, and my Omama, Heather Erika Martinson Talmet Passty, who died before the internet,
