Mission statement Movienight, simply, is a group of friends who collect in Nubby’s Back Yard and watch films projected twelve feet wide on his Patio wall. Sometimes there's four of us - sometimes there's ten or more. As detailed in our By-Laws, every Wednesday we have a different person in charge of selecting the film, and no one but the SELECTOR knows what we are going to watch until the moment the film begins. We sit outside, under the stars, with surround sound speakers hanging in the trees and the volume as high as we can get it. We are connected by the films we share together, and by our common purpose - to make watching movies fun again. On Wednesdays we share and rediscover the joy of movies, the escapism, the spectacle, the camaraderie. We sit beneath the stars entertained by the best that movies have to offer, and propelled by our mission: to make the next film even better than the last.
