Last night, Ben and I were debating which movie to watch, when I saw that Hoosiers was available online. Neither of us had watched it, but it I have always heard how great it was. Ben agreed to watch it. We were not disappointed. It seems like the story line would be so predictable that the movie would not be very good, but the acting was great (I love Gene Hackman) and I really cared about the town and characters. Ben was surprised that I did not recognize Dennis Hopper until halfway through the movie (when he slicked his hair back), but that made me enjoy the movie even more. I remember loving Mighty Ducks when I first saw it (granted I was only 10), and even enjoying the sequels. Lately, I have considered checking the original Mighty Ducks out from the library, just for fun. I don’t think I will now. That series pales so greatly in comparison to this movie. This is definitely on my must purchase list for my future children to watch someday. If, by any chance you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend it!
