Winter wonderland, glass and offshores

The B.B.C held their July club contest on sunday and once again scored some unreal waves and great conditions, a 3foot swell and offshore winds held up for the club through out the day and there was some great surfing going down. The Waves just got better as the day progressed. Considering the fact that we had pretty cold temps, we got through the comp very smoothly. Waves were glassy, and the occasional bomb from out the back fooled all but a few of the crew. barrels cutbacks and plenty of spray made the spectators gasp. A great turnout in the female ranks saw Ainsley Schumaker win the opens. and a great surf by Zayla Bourke who is ever improving this year, coming in second. Whilst Corey Strickland and Dylan Connors continue to duel it out in the Open Mens. Check the results below and also the Photo link on the bottom of the page.

Southerly swell hits again

Bruns Boardriders held there June club contest on sunday. Southerly 3 to 4 foot swell for the second contest in a row, the wind stayed offshore for the entire contest and there was some great surfing going down on the day. “It was really really good” said all timer Seppy Alsepp, ripping grommies, big floaters and some epic go- downs.”Everybody was well and truly surfed out by the finals. Sun burnt and jelly armed. Such a Sick Day.

Barrels, cutties, floaters,BOOF WACKS

A month ago we had onshore sloppy conditions, last week we had lake Brunswick with barely a six inch swell evident. All of us were so needing some sign from up above. Well as sunday dawned a 3ft down the line day just opened up and we were on from the get go. Everybody frothing to make a contest day to remember. The offshore kept on until nearly to the finals. Cancellation, reschedule

Hi all,
tried to put a notice in the echo but it wasnt printed;
Brunswick boardriders was postponed last week due to unsuitable conditions and is being cancelled this week due to the long (Anzac) weekend, and as we will be in may next sunday the April contest round has been cancelled! The next club round will be on the 3rd sunday of may as usuall (18th of may), so if you could please pass this message onto anyone it may concern it would be appreciated..see you next comp.

    Brunswick Boardriders Club held their second contest for the year on sunday 16th of march and scored some fun waves (2 to 3 foot) on a nice lil bank in front of the surfclub, the offshore wind hung around till lunch keeping the waves reasonably clean and the surfers happy. Members were sporting there new club shirts and there were plenty of smiles to be seen.With a great turn out and some excellent surfing going down in all divisions, the results are as follows,
