Hello, I am Purrgus.
Yes, that's me in the picture above. I never think pictures of me show off my best features, such as my fluffy white tail and nicely folded ears. Long ago in my early adventures, I discovered the joys of changing my appearance with dyes of vivid colors. I braid my tail too. Next time we meet, I'll show you my Scottish style. Perhaps I'll play you a tune on my bagpipes.
Oh, I have many stories to share with you. I’ve lived many lives on this Earth...long before you were born. I have no memory of the years before my 5th century journey aboard the Gundula, which sailed us to the infant nation of Scotland -- known then as “new Ireland.” I was given my name by Scotland’s first King, Fergus Mór of the Dál Riata clan from Ireland. He entrusted me with guarding the Stone of Destiny, and allowed me to accompany his clan to Dunadd, their new fortress.
I served generations of Kings, forged many friendships, and made a few enemies along the way. Standing out in my memory: Captain Donnchadh, Prince Artur, and Saint Columba. I still mourn these lost friendships. Perhaps I’ll tell you about our encounter with the Loch Ness creature.
Without my journals, I would remember nothing. Maybe you should keep one too. Someday, you may thank me.
