When It Rains, It Pours
Okay, so, I don’t want to be Debbie Downer here but, I do want to inform you all on what has been going on. Things have been crazy in our lives right now, and it is pouring. But, God has graciously provided an umbrella for us, so I cannot complain too much. I will start with the rain, and then tell you about the umbrella. I don’t want to focus too much on the negative, so I will not go into too much detail. So, here it goes.
I woke up on Thursday to find a huge water leak in our ceiling of our dining room. That should be fixed by tomorrow. Then, today, my alternator went out on my car. I am planning on fixing that Wednesday (my next day off). Lastly, we can’t seem to find a good refrigerator on Craig’s List. Every time we call about one we like, it gets stolen out from under us from some other Craig’s List consumer. I am so sick of eating out, that I really don’t want to eat anymore. I am in some dire need of some home cookin’.
As for the umbrella, well, it is a pretty big umbrella, which is why I don’t want to complain. On Wednesday, Hayley and I both got jobs in Austin. Hayley got a kindergarten job at a really cool school in downtown Austin. It is really close to town lake, which is really cool for Hayley. I think she is excited about this opportunity.
As for me, I got offered a job in the bike industry that seems like it would be right up my alley. The official title is outside sales rep. In short, it means that I get to travel around to different bike shops, showing them bikes and accessories so that they will be able to better sale the stuff that they order. And, the more they sale, the more money I make (which means it is all commission). Anyway, I get to work in bike shops, which I love. I get to work with bikes, which I love, and I get to make money and get the hook up on really cool bike stuff. I really don’t see too many negatives. So, I figured I will give it a try and go from there.
So, there is an update on what is going on. Quick update on the house, we are now looking to rent for a year or so. I will keep you current.
